So I was wondering whether I could get into the UI Kelley school... here are my stats:

SAT: CR: 730/740 (believe it or not, I actually forget at the moment... regardless it shouldnt make much of a difference) M: 790
CHEM: 800
MATH II: 800

GPA: 3.03 uw, 3.68 w (I know, its low although it is in an extremely competitive (public) high school.. also this is in core classes)

With a decent yet not stellar amount/quality of extra-curriculars (including a fairly large amount of time put into a very profitable ebay "business")

So yeah.. also I was wondering what my chances were for Cornell (early decision) and Tufts... Is Kelley a safety/fit/reach?

Kelley isn’t that hard to get into. Your SAT scores are good enough for Stern, Wharton, Ross, Cornell. BUT your GPA is really low…maybe even a little low for Kelley, but I think it still shouldn’t be a problem.

I know : ( do you guys have any idea what generally happens to people in this circumstance… not just specifically at Kelley but at other schools such as cornell, tufts, NYU, etc?

Because I want to do business and/or science… at a business oriented school I would do business and science (chemistry) but at tufts or a science oriented schools I would plan on doing economics and chemistry

PS… My main concern is in business btw (not sure what field… leaning towards finance)

Actually, a 3.0 GPA would be considered extremely low for Kelley. The minimum for direct admission is 3.6. Kelley isn’t so easy to get into anymore.

yeah i’m thinking it’ll be a bit tough to get into kelley, because their standards have gone up recently. i’m sure you could get into so many other places, however, for business. so don’t sweat too much.
