Kennedy, McCarthy, Reynolds--Transfer Student

I'm a recently accepted transfer student from Emory University, and if i choose to attend Georgetown I am definitely looking to get a single.

I had one this year and it was incredible.

Do transfers usually have the opportunity to get a room in one of these houses? They seem like the only ones that offer singles

-D

Most of the people with singles in RKM are juniors who are abroad for one semester or seniors who were abroad their entire junior year.

As a sophomore transfer, you'll most likely get placed in an apartment, in which case there is some chance that you will get a single bedroom.

ChemWhiz1: I have also applied for a transfer to Georgetown. Did you get an official notice in the mail or ow did you find out you were accepted?

mail-regular sized envelope

apartments have single bedrooms? i thought they were doubles?

They vary. Village B is all doubles. Henle has a mix. I'm not sure about Village A. The Nevils apartments are all unique.

Depending on what year you're transferring in as will determine where they place you. If you are a sophmore transfer, you will most likely get placed in a double-occupancy dorm room in Village C East or LXR. If you are a Junior transfer, you are more likely to get put in an appartment, but it will probably be Village A, Alumni Square (Village B) (all double rooms), or Henle (2 doubles and 1 single per apartment).

that sucks
