<p>We are leaving T-Town early Saturday morning towards Cincinnati. The preferred route takes us right through Louisville. Does anyone know if traffic is bad the DAY OF the race or just day before and day after? Should we consider an alternate route?</p>
<p>RTR, traffic can be heavy day of the race but I wouldn’t think it would be at the time you are going through. Are you going I65 to 264E than taking I71/I75 to Cincinnati? </p>
<p>Any traffic from I65N to Louisville will be taking 264W to Churchill Downs which will be the opposite direction you will be going if you take 264E.</p>
<p>If you are leaving T-town early in the morning you shoud be in Louisville late afternoon. I think anyone going to the Derby would already be there by that time so traffic shouldn’t be heavy. Just my opinion though.</p>
<p>We left T-Town this morning (Friday) and passed through Louisville (65N / 264W / 71N) around 5:00PM EST with no problems at all.</p>
