<p>"Congratulations! It is my pleasure to inform you that you are admitted to Kenyon College as an early decision candidate for the Class of 2014."</p>
<p>I am an international student so I got my acceptence letter by e-mail today. </p>
<p>Anybody else out there got their notification already?</p>
<p>Good luck</p>
<p>Congrats!</p>
<p>Would you mind posting your stats for the rest of us?</p>
<p>Congratulations on your acceptance. As a current sophomore at Kenyon, let me be one of the first to welcome you to the community. It’s a wonderful place.
For the rest of you who are waiting anxiously for the envelope, here’s some advice. Relax. Stop going on college confidential. Watch a movie. Eat some ice cream. Go for a run. The decision is no longer in your hands. You have worked extremely hard and there is nothing more you can do. Asking other people who have gotten in for their stats will not help.
I know how you feel. I have been there. And I know how hard it is to stop stressing. But once you’ve sent in the application, there is really nothing more you can do.
I applied EDII and was deferred. It felt awful, but at the same, I knew it wasn’t the end of the world. I ended up getting in regular decision, and absolutely love it here. But at the same time, I know I could’ve been happy at other schools I got into.
I promise, it will all be ok in the end. Whatever that letters says, everything will work out.
Trust me.
So breathe.</p>
<p>Hello ladysings, thanks for the welcome. I understand there is not much point of laying out my stats as the decisions have already been made, however I will anyways. I dont loose anything and maybe I can help someone cope with the nerves.</p>
<p>SAT: 1800 (I know, low)
TOEFL IBT: 107/120
GPA: 3.7 unweighted
Class rank: school does not rank but about top 15%</p>
<p>Extra curricular: President of Chess club, representative group of theater, varsity soccer captain 3 years. (talked to the coach by phone a couple of times)</p>
<p>Alot of community service with indigenous people, volunteerd at a zoo where I helped with the reproduction of endangered species.</p>
<p>Recomendations: excellent
Essays: superb.</p>
<p>I think the essays, and extra curricular activites were critical becaouse they even mentioned them in my acceptance letter.</p>
<p>I wish everyone the best and hope to see you at kenyon next fall.</p>
<p>Mike congratulations! I feel so happy for you.
Sad to say, I have been denied admission and it was totally out of expectation.
I am also an international
SAT 2160
TOEFL IBT 114</p>
<p>I am so envious of you! Where are you from by the way? You are so lucky!
Hope you have fun in Kenyon.
Not sure if any other school will accept, if even Kenyon hates me…</p>
<p>Hey people!
So I just got my acceptance letter today. I went on facebook and no one had made a Kenyon '14 group yet…so I did. Please join if you are going to be in Kenyon’s incoming class of 2014. We can talk and stuff.</p>

<p>"Not sure if any other school will accept, if even Kenyon hates me… "</p>
<p>Even Kenyon hates you? Why did you apply to a school that you seem to despise? Kenyon is a fabulous school and perhaps they saw your disdain.</p>
<p>Hey Jeremy, from just reading a few posts of yours, it seems like you will be better off at another college. You didn’t seem like you will like it at Kenyon, so just treat the rejection as a blessing in disguise. Good luck with your remaining college applications!</p>
