Kenyon Class of 2016

I'm still waiting for my letter here in Texas, but would those who have received letters in the mail mind posting whether they were Accepted/Waitlisted/Rejected and their stats? Good Luck and congrats to everyone!

Do you know when they are being sent out?

They were sent out 3/21 (yesterday).

Nothing in Cincinnati. Maybe they didn’t get mailed yesterday.

Glad to finally see this thread come to life…I’ve been going crazy all day wondering if the people in Ohio got mail today, so I could gauge when we might hear on the west coast. Sounds like nobody has heard anything. To me the wait feels agonizing, while my S is completely calm and unconcerned.

A friend of mine was accepted today and she lives in Cincinnati. It’s odd that you didn’t hear back as well, Blueash.

nothing here on the east coast yet…

I’m a Mexican guy (US citizen that has never lived in the US; English is my second language), 32 ACT, 2160 SAT, GPA on a 10.0 scale (so there’s no use posting it; I still don’t fully get what a weighted GPA is, anyway). I was accepted.

Accepted here!

where do you live? i live in south cal, still have yet to recieve it

My daughter was accepted today! We live in Ohio about 50 minutes from Kenyon. She received the Kenyon Writing Award worth $12,000. We are having palpitations here in Ohio and I almost had an asthma attack running up the hill when I saw the acceptance packet with the purple thumbs up!

Some stats:

Race: white
Gender: female
4.0 unweighted from very rural public high school
28 act (29 superscored)
Very good recommendations
Amazing essays
First Generation
Really good interview
Extracurriculars were cheerleading and dance, National Honor society
Won many awards in cheerleading and dance throughout the years and won 1st place in state essay contest

So to people reading this, it is possible to get into awesome schools with “low” test scores…lol. And not bunches of extracurriculars. (*edit, quality over quantity)

Congrats to all the other Class of 2016 kids!

Kenyon used to be my dream school but I have found another so I’m not particularly broken up about it, but still disappointed.

Cranjack, where in California do you live, south or north? Near a big city? Just trying to figure on when we can expect to receive a letter…

D saitlisted, but amazed it happened. Expected to get rejected based on what we heard from others.

Not sure if she will pursue it, waiting to hear on a couple of others next week.

Congrats to all who got in!

dang. 4.0 unweighted still got waitlisted? -____-

I got my acceptance letter today  Very excited!! It came in a big white envelope with a thumbs up on the front, and the letter was really personalized, which I really appreciated. I live in Southern California, about an hour south of Los Angeles. Good luck to everyone waiting to hear!!

This is good news at our house but our thoughts are for those who get less encouraging news-
