Kenyon Class of 2018

Waitlisted. 32 ACT, 4.5 GPA. Interviewed, overnighted, and emailed the rep saying kenyon was my number one choice…I’m so confused. I got a Presidential Scholarship at Boston U though so at least someone wants me.

Does anyone know what the chances are of someone getting deferred from ED and later getting accepted for Kenyon?

Don’t know what the odds are, but I can tell you that my daughter applied ED2 and was deferred and got her acceptance letter today, so hang in there! Good luck!

Congrats to your daughter, @sstsst12!

Congratulations to those who got in. Did anyone get in from Nepal?

Accepted in California yesterday with a writing scholarship!

Accepted in WA state, 34 ACT, 4.0 GPA, tons of extra curricular stuff, volunteering, captain of swim team etc, ASB, I really liked the personalization of the acceptance letter, they even quoted something that one of my teachers wrote in a recommendation letter which is nice because we never get to see those! I did an interview(which went really well) and had visited campus so I showed decent interest! I was also given the distinguished academic scholarship!

Hey guys, so they sent out acceptance, rejection, and waitlist letters all at the same time?

I’m curious because I haven’t received anything yet (in Maryland.) I saw one post say “rejected,” (and ironically it was from Maryland) but it’s tough to put all of your faith in one post. I’m just hoping they didn’t send out rejection letters afterward, in which case I’ve been rejected.

No, they sent them all out the same day (Thursday).

Waitlist was an e-mail or so I’ve heard, so you’re either in… or not.

My D received waitlist notice via snail mail, not email.

weird…

Got waitlisted in a letter.

waitlisted.

Accepted with very generous amount of aid! go lords! I heard that the wait list could move more this year because of a potentially smaller yield rate, so don’t fret too much! This whole process is so painful. There should be a better system.

Thumbs up received by snail mail today in Texas!

Wait-listed in New York!

Congrats @mamarose! Have any of yall decided on Kenyon for sure?

Letter finally arrived today (24th in Atlanta) - No…

They updated admissions portals, so you might wanna check if you’re getting anxious!
