D got an e-mail about 20 minutes ago. Decisions are now on the portal
D was accepted! No scholarship though - ouch! She and I both got the email that decisions were posted (no thumbs up on the email)
Accepted, but no scholarship. My top choices have given me significant merit scholarships, so Kenyon is definitely off the table.

When you go to the portal, scroll down and click on “status updates.” You should have the acceptance letter and a second one with FA. I think scholarships would be there as well.
S was just accepted! We are thrilled for him. does anyone know if the music scholarships were posted with these letters? The website says April but an earlier email stated late March?

Congrats to everyone who got accepted! I got in with a 25k honor scholarship, so I’m thrilled. Stats in the results thread. Can’t wait to get to know everyone, these are exciting times
My d was accepted, but no merit. Sad that we can’t afford it.
Ridiculous, WAITLISTED but accepted to Colby, Bates, Grinnell, and Macalester with aid.

My S was wait listed. Anyone else here get a promising Holiday card from their admissions rep and then get rejected or wait listed? It’s insufferably cruel to have sent a card like that with ‘wishes for wonderful surprises in the new year’ only to gut the poor kid w a wait list notification. Shameful really.
Both S1 and S2 were wait listed. Very surprised. 33 ACTs, top students, excellent ECs. Must have been an incredibly deep applicant pool this year. On the plus side, we’ll stop getting mail with John Green’s picture on it every week. Did you know that John Green went to Kenyon?
D wait listed at Kenyon even though Her SAT was 200 pts above Kenyon average and had higher than average grade point average and lots of extracurriculars. Wait listed at Bates, too. Wait listed at Bowdoin but that is more understandable. Accepted to Macalester with scholarship and significant aid. Don’t get it at all
@DrMom68 The applicant pool overall must have been much much larger this year. I can’t find any other explanation for all the wait listed students everywhere. It’s extremely frustrating especially when you know your qualifications match what the school is looking for
I was waitlisted as well. I have a 4.0 unweighted GPA, 4.9 weighted and a 32 ACT. Top 2% of class. Great essays, glowing recs, very unique community service that I’ve been involved with for 4 years, as well as other strong ECs. I was accepted to Macalester with quite a lot of merit aid. I’m now very worried about getting into Carleton, which is more selective.
