<p>Hi--my D is very interested in Kenyon College. My biggest hurdle (after cost) is travel. For those of you from the Chicago area, how does your student travel to/from school? Do they fly out of Columbus for every break? Is there a non-sketchy bus option? Do people drive (she will not have a car)? Train? This is a stressor for me! Otherwise, Kenyon seems perfect. Thanks!</p>
Most people drive and do ride shares. The Kenyon community is really strong so everyone is willing to drive students from different classes home and back for break in exchange for a little gas money. Shouldn’t be a problem at all. Kenyon Coach also picks up students from Columbus airport but there are also a ton of ride shares to the airport and back.
I’d pose this question to the admissions dept. at Kenyon. Many schools have some kind of shuttle service to airports for the major school breaks and from the above post it appears that they do have that at Kenyon.
