Hi, I'm considering applying to Kenyon ED

11th grade went to public school in San Juan Islands, Washington
12th grade - art/boarding school for 1 semester in California (equivolent of exchange I guess)

AP Eng was the only AP I could get at school in WA, small school.
GPA is maybe 3.4?
590 reading 560 math 600 writing 10 essay
after taking an SAT prep:
620 reading 620 math 670 writing 11 essay
but i'm going to take it again.

ECs:
i've been riding horses competitively for my whole life, i travel about 9 weekends a year to horse shows/take care of my 5 horses... which takes up all my time.
involved in local Pony Club
co-founder/president of Equestrian Club at school
photographer for yearbook

my essay is going to be about the impact that living on/near an indian reservation for my whole life has had.

I'm also applying to: Macalester, Hampshire, Barnard (reach), Guilford, U. Mary Washington, Oberlin, UW.

Should I bother worrying about Kenyon ED if I don't really have the chances to get in? Any insight would be apprectiated. Thanks.

... bump ...

You should try to talk with the admissions office. The credentials aren't clearly in the "safe" zone, but some people think Kenyon have the ability to look beyond the numbers at the student.

so I have a verb/noun disagreement going on ... it's another lesson on proofreading ...

Yep! Kenyon definitely looks beyond just "numbers". Get yourself an interview. Will do wonders. Hope this helps! ;)
