Kenyon Email about Online Communities

Today I received an email from Kenyon about the same time my Northwestern decision arrived. I didn't pay much attention to the Kenyon email until now.

It says:
*"We recognize that in today's wired world students are able to connect with one another electronically from across the country and around the world. While social networking sites are both fun and functional for community building, there arises the possibility that misinformation may be shared in online communities.

"We'll be happy to provide counsel and discuss issues pertinent to your admission decision. Additionally, we hope that you and your family will contact our office should you have any questions regarding your application to Kenyon or merit- or need-based financial aid packages received from the College."*

Has there been any known occurrence of misinformation spread online? It sounds like there may have been a noteworthy problem.

yeah, I got that, I didn’t know what happened…

btw, I have a question, that e-mail means I was accepted right? lol

cause at the end it says “Again, congratulations on your offer of admission to Kenyon! We most sincerely hope you’ll be joining us in Gambier as a member of our Class of 2013.”

Ok, thanks.
Have you gotten your acceptance letter yet? I don’t want to say for sure tht you have been accepted, but it seems like it. Go to myapp.kenyon.edu, login with the username and password they sent you a while ago, and your decision should be posted.

lol I just checked, I did get in.

thank god.
