I am deciding between these two which to apply to…I’m torn, help!

Have you visited both schools? And would it be possible to apply to both, or are you looking for an EDII school? Both are terrific - but I’m completely partial to Bucknell.

I have visited both. I am looking for an E.D2 school however. Is the greek life at Bucknell particularly cliquey? Or is there a relatively open, friendly environment? Basically I liked the schools equally, but worry at greek life at bucknell.

I know absolutely nothing about Kenyon so I can’t give you a comparison but I can ease your Greek concerns. My daughter is a first year student at Bucknell and she chose Bucknell over some smaller LAC’s for many reasons but one of her reasons was social. She felt the social options as Bucknell would be more varied and that just by nature of the size she would find more fun friendly kids who were not in to the Greek/heavy drinking party scene. That has proven to be true. She always has plenty to do on the weekends without stepping in to a frat house. This has really improved since I attended Bucknell years and years ago. It seems the University has put a lot of thought and effort in to offering non-drinking entertainment and activities for students.

And the campus has ALWAYS been a very open, friendly environment!

I can attest to kaleigh3’s post. I myself am a first-year student, and I always find alternative activities to partying on weekends. My hall (humanities res college students) sometimes just watches movies in our common room; other times I hang out with friends who are also not into drinking; and other times I meet with the gaming club, haha. It really depends on who you hang out with, but I’ve been able to find my own niche at Bucknell.
