I got my housing assignment for freshman year and I'm in Kerr hall. I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about it or can tell me what it will be like to live there. Thanks!

Kerr is pretty nice. I liked to call it the Ritz Carlton Hotel, it was re-done a few years back so it has new paint, really nice bathrooms (small though, as compared to the stetsons, but a lot nicer), carpeted floors and the rooms were decent sized (as compared to the stetsons). When i visited the people seemed pretty cool. Another great thing is you have the Fens right across from you (don’t worry, its safe) so in the fall and spring you take like a 30 sec walk and you are in the park… Its on a semi quiet street which is also nice.
Only negatives are that it is on the edge of what could be called campus, but its still close to the dining halls (5 min walk max?) and is right behind 153 Hemenway and Smith so its really pretty much close to most of the other freshman. Also it is a smaller dorm so you don’t have as many opps to meet people (as compared to the stetsons or white), but the community is usually strong, ie the people you meet there become good friends (from what i have seen)

If i had the chance i would have lived in Kerr as a freshman.

thanks for the response! I had heard it was really nice and recently renovated, it seems like a good place to live… and I just was there a few weeks ago and saw the outside, its nice and not too far of a walk at all.
