So I am going to be buying some kind of coffee maker for college anyways and was wondering what you guys thought about buying a Keurig. I am on the fence about it and was just wondering your opinions. Thanks.

Again, check the dorm policies before purchasing a coffee maker.

Keurigs are kinda nice, we have one at home. The boxes of pods can add up rather quick especially if you’re drinking more than a cup a day. You can get a little coffee pod thing that you can put regular coffee grounds in. You’re only supposed to use filtered water as well.

I find them a pain in the butt to be honest and prefer normal coffee pots or French presses.

My suite mate had a Kuerig. She’d let me use it once in a while and I loved it because it was just fun for me to pick out some random coffee flavor and pop it into the machine haha. I’m sure the novelty wore off for her though. She had one of the mini ones where you have to refill it every time you wanted a cup of coffee. It ended up being a pain for her to go get water all the time. If you were to buy one, make sure to get one that holds like 5 cups worth of water at a time.

I personally hate the taste of Keurig coffee. Overall I’ve heard mixed reviews about their products.

It’s convenient but ridiculously expensive and wasteful because of all the packaging. I think you can make better coffee in a normal coffee maker. But, it might be more hassle or more of a mess since you have to grind coffee/deal with loose ground coffee in your room/whatever. Personally I would go with a regular coffee maker and save the money and materials.
