@lilykrobo That’s what our club does too
Are you planning on running for officer?

I’ll be a freshman in high school this fall and I’m thinking about joining Key Club. Is it mainly a volunteering/community service club? I can’t seem to find much on the school’s website about it. It seems like a very cool club though and I will definitely invest a lot of time and effort into it.
@thelittleswimmer Join Key Club! You’ll love it
On the surface, Key Club seems like a community service club, but it’s really more than that. Not only do you get to help your community, you’re also invited to rallies, District Council Meetings (DCMs) and your district convention (DCON)! You get to meet so many other Key Clubbers and have an awesome time. It’s so worth joining!
this is a pretty late reply, but I had a lot of fun at DCON haha, what division are you from? i’m from D4N/the otters/the guys that won the spirit stick at the 2nd general session heh.
I’m looking to start a Key Club at my school. Probably (and hopefully) next year I can start it up and get a lot of people at my school.
@Greninja
I’m getting the feeling we went to the same High School. I’m a member of Sac State Circle K
@jamesnguyentran I’m from Region 16, Division 7 North–we’re the bees! I didn’t go to DCON this year (I wish I could have gone but I was too busy). I’m definitely going next year, though!
@andrewoz9 That’s a great idea! Good luck!
Our DCON was last weekend! So much fun! I ran off of the floor for District Treasurer (and lost… but oh well) and I’m going to be VP of our home club next year.
Any LTGs around CC??
@1LuckyBrave One of my best friends is a retired LTG… and I may run next year! But I don’t think either of those count :stuckouttongue:
So my home club voted like 4 days ago and the results will be released probably (most likely) at my home club’s annual banquet.
I kinda wish my school’s Key Club is popular and target that academically-motivated, service-bound crowd.
@moonandback928 Hey, I’m going to be VP of our home club next year, too! (Well, technically, I already am the VP because DCON already ended.)
@cxprus Well, good luck! I hope you become Historian. And haha, my school’s Key Club isn’t that big either but a lot of us are very academically ambitious.
@The5458Captain thank you! but i have no competitor lol.
@cxprus Oh haha… well good luck anyway!
Bumpity bumpity bump
Joined Key Club my freshman year because my friend told me that it would be fun! She didn’t even join that year, but I have been able strengthen my leadership skills.
Quick question, what usually happens during a typical Key Club meeting? What out of school charity events/fundraisers are there. I’m wondering because I think I’ll be starting it at my school next year but I’m still kind of confused on what happens.
@andrewoz9 Well there is meetings, UNICEF fundraiser, PTP and the fundraisers could be a food place or something but your home club or division might do those.
Do it!.. but a local Kiwanis club must sponsor your school. But start now because it takes at least year apparently to finish the process.
me! i’m not super involved though…
Me! The trick or treating we do for UNICEF is honestly the best thing ever. It’s cool because for our Gov and Law class we need service hours, and a lot of kids hate it, but I can count my Key club hours as part of the Gov requirements! It’s awesome.
