Key differences among the 3 schools?

What are the main differences among the schools Bothwell, Seattle, Tacoma?

can anyone outline the main features of each?

Seattle is the flagship campus - it pretty much is UW. Bothel and Tacoma are much smaller branches I think they just started admitting freshman not that long ago. My mom’s friend daughter got into UW-Tacoma last year with the plan to transfer to UW-Seattle after her freshman year but I guess it’s near impossible to do so.

I don’t know about the Bothell or Tacoma campuses that much but unless u have commuting issues or something Seattle is definitely the way to go. although im sure tacoma and bothell are still really good too. I’ve lived near Seattle and UW all my life and didnt even know there were tacoma or bothell branches till this year.

Since both Bothell and Tacoma are relatively new, they offer fewer majors and courses, so you would want to research them carefully. I think they are basically commuter schools, so you wouldn’t have the rich residential college experience you would get at the Seattle campus. They are easier to be admitted to, but they do attract some very smart, motivated students whose circumstances just make it more feasible to attend a branch campus.

rainmama has a good summary of the different programs at the branch campuses. If any of those areas are of interest to you, Bothell or Tacoma are very worth considering. Classes are smaller and easier to get into. I haven’t been to Tacoma, but the Bothell campus is just beautiful. Parking is very inexpensive - $2, for the day last fall, UW Seattle is $11 for the day now. There is good bus service to all three campuses.

The libraries share resources with the main campus, so if there is something you need, they can get it to the branch.

There is no on-campus housing at either Bothell or Tacoma. There are apartments nearby, but I imagine they are fairly expensive.
