Which is better for new SAT preparation? Which suits you better?
Everything in the CB book is on Khan. In fact every other page in the CB book it tells you to go to Khan for more information. Unless you need a paper book save your $ and just use Khan.
If you will only do one then do the practice tests, but doing both is better.

It is better to practice on paper because the real test is a paper test. Online practice is not like paper practice.
I thought he meant the Khan Academy program vs. the practice tests which are on Khan Academy, in the book and on the CB website.
I was suggesting doing both the program and the practice tests.
We used both the CB book and the Khan on line but after doing both, I would not waste money on the book. I do agree you should print out practice tests and do timed, written practice test but for the exercises on line was fine for us.
What do you guys recommend to someone who wants to get the necessary score to get full tuition to full ride scholarships?
I agree that buying the CB book is a waste of money. You can download the pdf files for the official practice tests from the College Board website and then print them out.
Online practice can be good enough for some people, but for some people it will be better to do also exercises on paper. For example, some people will benefit from underlining reading passages, crossing off answer choices, drawing on top of math problems, etc.
Khan Academy does not have an option for printing out practice material. However, I am sure there are printable online collections available in the usual places.
We bought the book because printer ink is so expensive, it would have cost us about the same amount in paper and ink to print everything.
Also, if you will do the essay, the book has essay prep material that is not online.
Do you mean the book has additional essay questions beyond the four released ones, or some other kind of preparation material (sample answer essays, etc.)?
