For those who have already taken the new SAT’s, how similar are the questions from Khan Academy to the actual test questions? Would studying only the Khan Academy materials help to score high on the exam or should I study those Kaplan/Princeton Review books as well?
Well, I just took it today, so I’d take this with a grain of salt, but I only used Khan Academy and I felt REALLY prepared. I didn’t take any of KA’s practice tests, but the practices themselves are extremely reflective of questions that were on the test.
I took the test in April(school test date) and this morning and can say yes, the questions very closely resemble the actual test. I’ve done all the reading and writing and language practice and tests and all the question types and structures on Khan Academy were also on both SATs. I can’t vouch if Princeton Review/Kaplan/etc. would be beneficial as I haven’t used them. Since the test is so new, I’d assume the companies either used SAT prep books or Khan Academy to write theirs if the book was written pre-March 2016, unless CB is being sneaky and getting deals with preps other than KA
