Hey, I just wanted to let every people know that Khan academy has an amazing, free sat prep. I’ve already increased my score from a 1270 to a 1370 in 3 weeks with the practice tests. I don’t see why anyone would pay for prep when this is available.
how do you study? do you just do the practice over and over or you have different method of studying. My problem is that whenever I take the practice my score is low but when I take the actual sat test my score is higher ten the practice test. Also is there a way I can pull my score up from 1,030 to 1,200?
It’s cute that you think this is news here, @prascu
Well, when you first start they give you assessments to see where your “skill levels” are at. Then they give you recommended questions to work on and raise the “skill levels”. The practice tests come about every 2 weeks to put it all together, but i think you can change the pacing depending on how much time you have. To answer you last question the thing I love about it is that it really helps you learn and focus on the parts of the SAT that you don’t do well on. I think if you really work on mastering the parts that you have a low “skill level” in then you could easily do it go up 170 points from where your at in a couple months.
Khan Academy is a quality website. My AP Art History teacher introduced it to us last year, and now I use it for several subjects.
Anyway, I’m happy for you, OP. I haven’t taken the SAT yet, but the official SAT prep book is also very helpful and a lot cheaper than a tutor.
