Kicked out of NHS. Do I need to update my colleges?

Hey everyone. I’m currently a senior in my second semester, and I was accepted to Stanford REA. I also submitted RD applications to Harvard, Princeton, and Columbia.

I was recently informed that I got kicked out of NHS for not completing the club’s required community service hours per semester (I completed 3 of the 20 hours required last semester lol). Truth is - I don’t care about the club, and I didn’t want to waste time on it, especially when I’m heavily involved in my school’s physics club. I did list the club on my common app, however.

Do I need to do anything? I know NHS is nothing significant (not even sure why I listed it on my app tbh).

No, don’t worry about it.

Jeez. 20 service hours per semester for just one club?! What about other honor societies? I wouldn’t worry about it either, NHS basically means nothing.

You were in NHS when you applied, you didn’t lie about that.

I wouldn’t do anything about it either. It’s not like you were suspended for cheating or something.

Thanks guys!
