<p>That’s AMAZING!!! The only line in the article I was miffed by was ““He’s not a typical African-American kid.””</p>
<p>You can tell the implication behind it. Like shut up. </p>
<p>That rubbed me the wrong way also. But, I believe they meant that he is a first generation American, as opposed to a “typical” African-American kid who are descendants of slaves. But it pissed me off a bit also.</p>
<p>I noticed that, as well. The comments were even worse.</p>

<p>But yeah, those couple of lines put me off too. Didn’t look at the hateful comments on the article, thank god. </p>
