Thanks for the update. It’s always nice to hear that kids really do grow up!
Sorry, old thread.
Great news! Congrats! I’m always so happy to hear updates, especially good ones.
What a fabulous update! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for posting the update that brought this thread back onto the main page of the Parents Forum. It is so nice to see there are success stories for kids who stumble out of the gate in college. It is so easy to dig a hole with immature decisions that is so hard to get out of
That’s great news! Thanks for taking the time to come back and share. Good luck with #3’s journey.
Thanks for the update. Such a great outcome. Watching my 3rd navigate engineering school is not for the faint of heart. Mine has wanted to be a civil engineer since he was three years old but he is constantly calculating his GPA.
@MumIstheword - Updates like the one you posted today are perfect grounds for not closing (and for resurrecting) old threads. Congrats to your son. I’m glad he persevered and things worked out so well for him. Hopefully his experience will serve as inspiration for others who find themselves in similar situations.
@wis75 (Thought you might like to read the updates to this thread).
Wow- not what I expected. Had forgotten I had posted years ago until I read my post. Not the typical outcome for those who struggle. I wonder what got him off track in subjects linked to his major. Could be a warning for others who have the ability but neglect to do the work to get the grades.
