So I have been wondering this for a while, how much class time do you get for your AP classes? For example, all of the AP science classes at my school take up 2 periods every day (45 min each) and calc is one 45 min period every day with a "lab" period 2 times a week. I was jc about the setup of all of your AP classes, or classes in general.

You are quite fortunate to have that much time for your AP courses. Your students must be very well prepared! At my school, all AP courses, regardless of subject, get 1 period, or 55 minutes of instruction, a day for 5 days a week; nothing more, nothing less.

All my AP classes last only for 55min. WE do labs and DBQs and stuff once a month on what we call block days (110min)

At my school, it’s one period a day. Although, if you’re taking an AP science class, you have to have a “lab period,” which is just a class that you can miss if necessary.

My school doesn’t even have APs
Only IB.

We just do 52-minute periods every day, with each class during a different period.

52? What an odd number lol do you go to Mad Hater school?! :P

My school does 90 minute classes so for my ap courses it is good because that’s that much extra time to have class

Straight 46 (I think) minute periods every day.

The problem is, because our classes take up so much time we can only fit in 4 or5 of them

Every class period at my school is 50 minutes long.

55 minutes on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. 40 minutes on Wednesdays due to enrichment stuff.

Most classes are 44 minutes, some 46 depending on the class period (based on lunch periods, some get to be 2 minutes longer). AP Sciences have a period and a half, plus the passing time in between, so they get 72 minutes. We have a really complicated schedule. If anyone actually cares, I can go in depth about how it gets to be that and why some are 44 vs 46.

We have seven periods a day, and each is approximately 55 minutes long, whether gym, health, or AP Chem.

We’re on the quarter system so 90 minute periods every day of the week, but the courses only last half the year. (Or if it’s American Gov./Microecon. then it’s only 9 weeks.)

It kind of sucks if you have AP classes second semester because then you only have about 10/11 weeks to learn the material (and one of those weeks is spring break so…).

my school has 40 minute periods for each class and we alternate every other day between an extra science lab period and gym

We only have lab period for sciences, not calc. So everyday you meet for 48 minutes, then twice a week you meet 96.
