Kind of a status change...i guess...

So I got a letter at the end of February that requested my senior grades, even though I had entered them in on my application (we had them already). I faxed them almost immediately. I got an e-mail confirming the fax and thanking me for sending the material. Then, about a week ago, I got another letter that told me I had not sent them in and quite angrily demanded that I send them in because they have been requested numerous times. I check my status site and it says I need it there too. So I report my grades online just to be safe and send a message to admissions to inquire why this was happening if I had turned in my grades. They sent back and said they had all that they needed. My status changed to 3/13 (because that was the day) and it said it had everything it needed. I have not been accepted.

So I assume the status change was just about that, right?

Is it a good sign that they requested senior grades only for some people as another factor? (Which would be awesome because I bumped up my course load as well as my GPA by .4ish)

AGGGHH!! I just want to find out already!!

Mine’s 03/14. NOTHING.

DAMN the influx of other NJ/longisland/dc applications!!!

p.s. what was your GPA? (haha hi twin again!)

If you have a common name, there might have been a mix up. Did you put your USCID on everything?

yea, i had a 3/6 update bc the day before i sent in my grades. then i got another update on 3/19

my cumulative weighed GPA was a 3.78, which is very close to their average I believe. Unweighed was 3.65 (we only offer four advanced/honors classes which puts me at an enormous disadvantage) My seventh semester was a 4.0 compared to sixth semester’s 3.5 and fifth semester 3.5. My SATs were 2230 (800 M 680 CR 750 W) and my ACT was 35. My SAT IIs were 750 Math II, 700 Literature, 530 Chemistry, and 570 Physics (which bums me out because I am applying for pre-med…but I never really had the time to study and half of my Science grades are As). I’m so nervous!

Also, my Junior year schedule was Bible (Christian school), AP Calculus, Teacher’s Aide (because we had so few classes, there was nothing else to give me), Chemistry, US History, Spanish 2, and American Literature. This year, I had AP English, AP Physics, Speech, Apologetics (Bible), Government, Spanish 3, and Band. So I’m hoping the better performance on a more rigorous schedule will help.

@dbear did you do anything on that date, or did it just do that randomly?

@trojantransfer? Yes, I put the USCID on everything. USC has this quite useful process for faxes: they make a “sandwich” with the requested material in the middle, and the top and bottom pages with USC info including ID.

@candy45 check your status later today. If it’s updated, then you can expect something to come in the mail (I believe) on Monday :-)
