Kind of a Weird Question

TK21769 - great post.

And also, on CC, it’s not a weird question to ask about which school has the worst party scene. I have never seen the appeal of partying, either.

I think you’ll be able to find like-minded friends at any large school.
My friend’s daughter was very happy as a member of a Christian sorority (Alpha Delta Chi, I think) at UCLA. Her freshman year was a little rocky in a huge freshman dorm, but she gradually found her niche.

I’d agree with Caltech, UChicago. Maybe UCSD as well - just leave town for Sun God. But in all honesty, you’re going to have to learn to be around students who party - you’re going to college. It’s fine and respectable to not want to get involved in all the partying, but to “refuse to participate in a social culture that revolves around either”? It’s college. Unless you go to, as others have mentioned, West Point or BYU, to some degree student life will revolve around partying. Accept it.
