kind of complicated situation

hi guys. Im new here, and this situation forced me to sign up. In high school, I was told how AP classes are great and let u skip classes in college, so I took A LOT of them. I ended up going to a community college because of financial problems, and I got to skip a lot of classes as I was promised. I am in my second semester, and today I found out that whoever gave me the OK to skip the classes was wrong. I was able to skip Calculus I and II, 2 calculus-based physics classes, and a few others that I can't remember right now. Turns out, AP scores really are meaningless once you get to college, they only help you get there.

I was wondering if there exists a science major out there that I don't have to take a lot of extra classes for. So far, I have taken first year chemistry, multi-variable calculus, first year biology, physics: heat, waves and optics, linear algebra, I am taking differential equations and a psychology course right now...I have taken and am taking other core classes such English writing, a speech class, and a computer class. I really want something I can finish in 4 years because time is valuable when talking about the medical path. Sorry if this seems so jumbled up and cluttered, but my mind is really......i don't even know, that's how bad it's getting

I don't really understand your situation . Are you looking for a major you can satisfy requirements for? Are you trying to satisfy medical school admission requirements? It seems the former would depend on the school your attending.

Each college has different standards with regard to which AP classes and scores you can get credit for, and how you can use that credit.

oh ok. I am (or should I say was) majoring in biomedical engineering. the major has a ton or requirements, but I thought I fulfilled a lot of them through my AP scores. This was the case until I was told that AP scores only cover the low classes, not the ones I need. So now, I have to take a bunch more classes that I though I could skip if I want to get the degree. I don't want to do that because then college will take 5 years to finish instead of 4.

So I was wondering if, with the classes I have already taken, I can major in another, easier premed subject so that I get a 4 yr degree and move on to med school. I was thinking a biological sciences BS, but i don't know

EDIT: oh, you're right about how each college has its own system for AP credit, but most majors require actual grades for core classes. AP scores do not give grades, just credit
