As a person who lives in an affluent city of Oregon(pretty much rural compared to Eastern States) where most kids go to the state universities and have little resources in school and city, math/science stuff I did were the best I could do.

BTW, I am a Questbridge Applicant.
And is'nt it odd that a nationally recognized school doesn't have any support in math/science activity??

P.S. Please be polite. Also, Yale Brown with PLME, Uchicago, and Princeton are my top choices. After a lot of research, I realized I like different culture and atmosphere in all different colleges.

I think you need some target and safe schools. No matter how good you are, ivy league schools are still reach. There’s no guarantee.
Again, I can see you being a strong candidate, but there is really no guarantee in anything.

Of course, no one is guaranteed to be accepted.
I am not sure about school that can be my safety…
Any safety colleges with good merit scholarships??
My counselor doesn’t know a lot outside Oregon, and oregon in general isn’t that affluent state.

What do you want to major in and what kind of environment do you want?
You can go to US news and use the ranking to see what schools are out there (I am not saying that the ranking is completely accurate)

But schools like georgia tech and schools at that level might be safeties for you.

You have a good chance of getting into Ivies, but as Oliviez said you can be very qualified and not make the Ivies. Safe schools are schools that:

  1. You know you can get in
  2. You know you can afford
  3. You wouldn’t mind attending
For safe schools look at in-state universities and small private schools.
Perhaps try: Lewis and Clark University, Oregan State University, UCSC, San Diego State
Good Luck getting into your top pick schools!

Chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1562128-ivy-chances.html

Oregon state university is too poor to give money for QB student like me…
Not sure about L&C university, but georgia teach maybe nice.
