and other ones
so i got accepted, rejected, and waillisted to some of these unis.
the ones i got accepted to, i received very little FA and to the ones i was waitlisted, i ended up being rejected.
so…
now im attending this little school called university of tennessee for civil engineering/environmental engineering.
how can i transfer?
I am really disappointed in myself and want to do better for myself…
please help me.
What is wrong with the University of Tennessee? What school would be a better fit given your stats and your finances?
Have you already started at the University of Tennessee as a student, or will you be attending there this fall?
If you have already been attending, what don’t you like about the school? How have your grades been?
Regarding how do you transfer, you need to do as well as possible at your current school. If you fail/do poorly at your current school, transferring to any school will be difficult.
Transfer students often do not receive the aid packages that first-time freshman receive, so that will be something to research, to make sure your transfer choice is affordable.
Another thing you will need to research is how your courses will transfer. Many schools have transfer guides on their websites. Some schools will not give you credit for courses taken at other schools, so it’s best to know in advance if you will have to re-take any courses.
If you are not happy with your school choice and have not started attending the University of Tennessee, I suggest you consider a Gap year. This will allow you time to better research the schools and possibly work during this time to make some extra money. As stated above by @college_query, Transfer students do not get the best financial aid. The best aid would be as a in-coming Freshman.
With ~22K students. https://oira.utk.edu/stats/cds
Not small and a good school.
