Has anyone heard yet from Kines??? I'm kinda nervous all my stuff was in 10/2!

Im applying to kines also and all of my stuff was in 11/3 nd i havent heard yet either. Wat are your stats?

i heard from kinesiology the friday after thanksgiving with an app complete 10/13

snappleyum, what did u hear and what wer ur stats? Hope you got in!

I don't know how things are going this year, but I was waitlisted to kinesiology last year and then rejected. However, the worst part was that I only found out in March, which, of course, was way too late. A lot of kinesiology applicants were very upset by this, but hopefully UMich has learned from last year. Also, many of the recruited athletes apply to kinesiology, so you'll be competing against them in a much smaller school within UMich.

All I can say is try not to worry about when you'll be receiving your decision yet. Focus on your other applications if you have not submitted them already. Once you get through January then I'd start wondering about UMich.

Good luck!

yeah i got defered.. i regret not applying to LSA. i have a 29 act and a 3.5.. i also worked in a fitness club and take a business in sports class at school.
i know my stats are kinda low.. personally i thought i was going to get straight out rejected

Oh, sry to hear about that. My stats are a little bit higher than yours i guess (3.8 UMich GPA 1990 on SAT). I also worked in a fitness club however and took both Sports Marketing and Advanced Sports Marketing in my school as well. I think my SAT may hurt me a lil, but i gues we shall see!

i havnt heard either, ( i have a 3.7 Umich GPA and 1270/1600 1980/2400 SAT, 27 ACT). I played varsity sports... my stuff was complete 10/25 and im getting really nervous ... is it possible, if deffered to pull of the deferall and reapply to lsa THIS YEAR?

yeah i dunno my umich gpa, but im pretty sure its a lot lower than 3.5 because my freshman year was really good

My GPA was probably around 3.5 (my school had a different scale, so it's just an estimate) and my SATs were M:690 R:640 W:590 (1330/1920) and I applied out of state. I'm also a girl, so I was hoping that would help, but in the end I guess I just wasn't qualified enough compared to the other applicants.

Don't worry, your stats aren't as low as you think. UMich rarely flat-out rejects people this early on in the game unless their stats are really low. You definitely have a shot.

It could go either way for any of you. It all depends on how strong the applicant pool is to kinesiology. You guys are lucky you have sports-related courses in your high schools! I would've loved to have taken those.

I'm applying as a transfer for Fall '07. I heard that it is slightly easier b/c you aren't competing against recruited athletes. Hopefully we will all get in and I will see you there! Good luck!

Has Anyone Been Accepted??!?!?!?!?!
