Kitchen Aid Mixer

I made cookies 2x a week for my patients and colleagues. Poor thing now sits idle.

@VeryHappy, I have a mixer lift too. They work great and keep my counters clear. Here’s the link. I highly recommend them if the cabinet space is available.

Yes, that’s exactly what I have. I love it.

That’s funny, we’re the opposite. All that stuff you mentioned stays in the appliance garage (no kleenex boxes or radio) and only the Kitchen aide is on the counter. In my former house, we had all that stuff on the counter. But this kitchen is more modern than my other one and just seems to call for nothing sitting out. I guess that’s why the former owners put the appliance garage in I guess). The long expanse of counter opposite my island has a lot of windows. Maybe that’s why it seems it should have nothing on the counter-don’t want to compete with the view outside. I don’t know, maybe the owner was just a neat freak.

Wow, that’s really cool!

Jealous! My KA weighs about 25 lbs

I bought a refurbished one directly from Kitchen Aid and saved a fair amount on a nice and sturdy model. You won’t have as many color choices this route, though

Now I’m seeing kitchen aid mixers in my Instagram feed, in my target feed. They are everywhere!

Thanks @abasket

FYI Target has a Chip and Joanna kitchen aid mixer, tilt head. I guess? it’s the colors?

LOL sorry bout that @deb922!

Yes it looks like JoAnna got her name on a KitchenAid brand mixer by “developing” a color for them!

Not as exciting as the Pioneer Woman ones designed by Nicole Dinardo of Unamore!

I have my Mother’s from the '70s, harvest gold, of course, at least it’s not avocado green. Now I am wondering about painting it something pretty.

That’s the problem with buying appliances in trendy colors - the colors go out of fashion long before the appliances dies.

I’m OK with replacing an out of fashion toaster, but not the mixer.

That’s why mine is white.

Hey, Hey, Hey! Mine is harvest gold (actually just yellow) and I still love !

Mine (inherited) is lemon yellow. Love it because it almost exactly matches my lemon yellow backsplash ( backsplash from the 50’s). I think the KitchenAid is from the 60’s.

Spraying a Kitchen Aid is one the easiest paint projects you’ll ever do (there’s so little to tape up as most of the silver parts come off). There are so many colors/finishes to choose from. I’ve redone mine four times, and no one has ever been able to tell it wasn’t purchased that way. The last time I painted it, I also replaced the silver band that runs around the head as mine was scratched and showing age. With a new band and paint job, my 28-year-old mixer looks new.

(It was originally hunter green.)

Do they sell new bands?

Wow! That looks fabulous!

@Somemom, don’t paint it. You’re so on trend.

Sherwin-Williams announced their February Color of the Month (I didn’t know there’s such a thing) is “Tarnished Trumpet.” Sure looks like my mother’s harvest gold.
