I am an incoming business student and was "approved" to live in the KLLC; however, a potential roommate is not a business student. She is planning on living in Northwest though. If we request each other as roommates, will I not be able to live in the KLLC since she is not also a business student?

I believe that it is open to all students; she just needs to apply for it and get approved.

It also depends on what you ranked your choices to be on your housing application. My roommate and I are both planning on living in KLLC - we both ranked it KLLC and then rooming together. So if you put rooming with her first you will most likely room together not in Kelley or you wont be matched up to room. Like the person before me said she can apply to the KLLC and get approved, but just know that after the direct admit days in March a huge group of DAs applied to get in and I think KLLC might look at your major as a deciding factor.

^ Don’t they structure the KLLC to be half DA and half pre-business. I believe they do. So all the DA’s would not be competing with pre-business students.

I don’t know if it is exactly half and half - I am sure they try to let as many direct admits in as possible though since they are already in Kelley. But also, I was just trying to say they are going to look at your intended major too and that the llc is filling up fast.

How do you know you were approved for Kelley LLC. I applied but did not hear anything yet.

After about three weeks, I got a letter saying I was approved but not guaranteed a spot. It’s the same letter that I think everyone gets. You won’t know if you are actually in it until the end of May.
