Does knowing a coding language(s) (such as Java, HTTP, javascript, python) increase your chances/makes you more appealing to a college admissions officer? I am currently a sophomore.

By the way I do not intend on studying Computer Science or IT in College? Mainly Biology, Chemistry, Neuroscience.

Depends; are you going to have something to show for it? If you take the AP CS test and do well or create a website, maybe related to your intended area of study, you’ll be more appealing.

Like anything else it is an interest. Does it look good to have interests/have done something with them, absolutely. Though from my understanding coding is not the most amazing EC in the world that will lead to you being accepted to every college you apply to.
