hey, i sent my application packet about 10 days before n i dont know if my application has reached the college. how will i be able to know the status of my application?

My D applied ED to Bryn Mawr. She received a user ID and password to check her status online. When the status didn't seem to be updated showing that everything had been received, she e-mailed admissions and they promptly got back to her. You can call also. Good luck. One month to go until decisons!

when does the college notify us about its decision? will the decision be sent by email or by post?

I read something about a formal "agreement" some of the top colleges have with one another...one part says that they all agree to send out their notifications (for regular decision, I assume) on the same date. I have just gotten my acceptance notice from a top college in NY, and I can see where this "being the first accept.letter out in the mail" can be a real advantage for a college. My family has already begun to "bond" with this school. This college quickly and warmly begins to make you feel special and welcome and the family's comfort level rises quickly with all the attention you receive.

Virtual BMC- you should have recieved a username and password in the mail.

And, as far as I know, decisions will be sent by mail on or by April 1st. BUT I've heard of people's VBMC logins changing to reflect the decision before they got the letter. And Bryn Mawr sometimes calls you if you're accepted, but I've heard this depends on how close to the college you live.

my vbmc login stopped working about 10 days before i got accepted... i freaked out until i got a call ten days later.
i think they only call ed people though.
good luck!

Yeah, if you don't get a call, don't worry! Everybody got a call on here last year, but I did (reppin' the West Coast) and it was still fine.
