I really like Knox College as a whole, but I am slightly concerned that my social life will not be what I am expecting or used to. As bad as it sounds, I enjoy going to parties and being social in that manner. Will there be parties to attend at Knox? Also, please don't judge. This is all a part of the college experience.

Can I ask why you think there won’t be parties at Knox?

It’s a small, private, liberal arts school, and, well, I’m not sure. I just feel like there wouldn’t be. But at the same time, it’s a college like any other.

When I was there in the last millennium the fraternities held parties that were open to the entire campus. I wasn’t in a frat, but went to my share of parties. Halloween was always fun, with all five frats hosting costume parties.

My daughter is a Freshman and lack of parties is NOT a concern. There is as much or as little partying and social interaction as you desire.

^This was the impression I got when I visited, too. It seemed like a really fun campus with engaged, accepting students.

I’m a freshman at Knox and pretty much all the parties are at the frat houses. Yes, they are open to everyone. We have registered parties where no alcohol is allowed and then we just regular parties at the frats. Honestly though, the greek life is a big presence on campus which is something I don’t like. I wish there were more parties outside of the frats.
