What is the general reputation of the college?

Excellent small LAC in western IL south of the Quad Cities. Founded by abolisionists is was progressive accepting blacks and women, but if you think it's as radical as Beloit or crazier yet, Grinnell, it's not. They accept like 3/4 applicants, so a great choice as a safety. Of course it does not have the prestige of Grinnell, but personally I like it better than Grinnell, Beloit, or Cornell (Iowa) for schools in that general area. Give Galesburg a visit and you might be pleasantly surprised. If you hear a train you'll get use to them (remember trains go right thru the Grinnell campus, too).

Charlie's World, why do you like Knox better than Grinnell or Beloit?
