I’ve learned he was so much more than basketball. I knew he spoke Italian, but didn’t know he was fluent in Spanish. He also learned French and German so that he could curse in front of the refs and not be in trouble. He learned how to play the piano for his wife. He took tap dancing classes secretly for a year with little kids to learn how to protect his ankles. His Oscar winning story was beautifully done.
I’m not surprised at the adulation as he was this generation’s “Michael Jordan “.
