I know ska... Distorted Penguins, LTJ, Save Ferris, etc... And I don't really like it. Catch 22 is my one exception (and it's awesome that your band opened for them).

Julius-I can burn you catch 22 if you want.

Real ska is stuff like Reel Big Fish and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

On a side note: No Doubt is actually considered a type of ska as well, I forgot the official name for it.

Right on lirael_india....LTJ is hardly ska anymore and save ferris is ok....listen to RBF, MMB, and Catch22----welll some Catch22...there is Keasbey-era Catch22 and post-Keasbey Catch22...which one are you listening to? (Please let it be Keasbey era)

JustForgetme: Yeah, definetely. I'm open to good ska, I just haven't heard any yet. Oh, and I finally got around to listening to the new Bright Eyes folky LP. It might be a little too folky/country, but it might grow on me. You're right, posion oak is the best song.

Reel Big Fish, Less than Jake, etc., is the stuff I have heard, and haven't liked. Though I was into Save Ferris back in the day. Shhhh.

Meh. I hate all the mainstream ska groups. The best by far in my opinion is this underground band http://www.crowpsey.com/nysx/. New York Ska Xchange is very good. I recommend it.

I'm not a RBF fan... Should have put them in the list.

The only Catch-22 I have is the CD with Keasbey Nights on it.
