what's a competitive score for korean international students??

It's not fair, but adcoms assume a fair bit of SAT score inflation among Koreans. They know a LOT of kids go to hakwon (the majority of kids in my school do - not only for SATIs but for the IIs as well). As a result they don't see a 2300 by a Korean the same way they would a 2300 by a European kid. I heard this from a rep who came to our school a long long time ago.. wish I remembered her name.

Oh and callthecops, we've only had one acceptance to Harvard in nearly a decade I think (he was a recruited athlete), and we've NEVER had anyone accepted to Yale! Hopefully this year will be different hehe

how many times did u guys take the sat?
i'm thinking about taking the january test for the 4th time
is it worth it?

minjok has a pretty high sat average. I'd say it's in the 1470s. Math, nearly everybody gets full scores or mostly above 760, critical reading is all roundabout 700 with about 20 students above 750 and writing, there are about 7 students who got 800.

for the last graduating class, they had 3 princetons,1 yale, 8 dukes, 6 cornells, 2 stanfords, 2 columbias, 2 upenns, 2mits, and the rest I can't remember that well but it was pretty good.
