<p>I’ve been to both, and did the fancy tasting menus at both. Neither were particularly impressive. The food tasted good and the presentations were nice, but it had a distinctly Americanized and unauthentic feel. I think Indian is a cuisine where you can get better stuff for $10/person in Curry Hill / Curry Row than for $100/person at some Danny Meyer restaurant.</p>
<p>On the other hand, Rasoi Vineet Bhatia in London was upscale Indian and was so much better than Tabla/Taramind. The lunch tasting menu at 30GBP is a pretty good deal.</p>
