The KP network is very strong out there. We have a friend of a friend who knew someone that went to KP and the KP grad instantly emailed my son to meet over xmas to talk about an internship at his firm. He knew all about the splits and the timing offered several ideas about various projects. Nice to have a few alumni floating around out there.

Maacoinc,

So where is "there"?

Kathy.....You're traveling through another dimension -- a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That's a signpost up ahead: your next stop: the Twilight Zone....no scratch that....your next stop: the KP Zone!

Seriously though, it's truly amazing the KP network. I think it's one of the best kept secrets of the best kept secret academy!

It's true. My brother is my "deep throat" into this mysterious secretive world. He went to another state maritime school, has been in the maritime industry for 25+ years, is a very successful executive with a large shipping company and lives in awe of KP. He's the one who introduced us to this secret...

Also, didn't I read somewhere on here that KP was listed amongst the top 25 schools that produced CEOs? That speaks volumes. The fact that it is not flaunted speaks to its high class. Oh Lord it's hard to be humble.....

The "there" I speak of is world wide. From the guy who runs Dubai Ports World Wide to the Marad administrator to all the shipmates on his cruise who treat KP cadets with such respect. What I find most fascinating is the reaction of a USMA or a USNA grad is that almost to a person they all say that KP is the best deal around and if they had to do it again they would have gone to KP(mostly guys who did not make the military a career). Or someone who worked or knew a KP grad and almost without exception they say what a great guy he was or he was a great boss. It just seems that KP turns out bright well rounded grads who know what they are doing and people recognize that and want to hire that talent, be they a fellow alum or someone who has worked with a KP grad.

DANG!

Reading last sentence in MMAMom2011's post in mid-swallow of soft drink... Now I have to clean off the screen and get the Pepsi out from the keyboard! :D:D:D (She sounds so genuine)

Zonker---Pepsi is no good for you!

But, hey, I'm in the "KP Zone"!!!!! I guess you should be glad it wasn't a Rum and Pepsi!!! Then your keyboard would be hiccoughing!

Aw com'on Zonker...don't act surprised...we all know that your daily ritual includes singing that song..... :p
