KP Rugby, Sailing, and SEALs?

OK I have received my full appointment to KP but i have a couple of questions.

I received the appointment but when will i receive the report date? What other information will i receive?

I want to play rugby at KP, I currently have been playing tight-head prop for my local team for 4 months. Are there multible rugby teams? Should I contact sombody about it?

I would like to join the off-shore sailing team but i have only sailed on a dingy a couple times before. When i visited, a man i think is the sailing coach told me it wasn’t a problem and they would train me(he was short and had a heavy accent). Should I contact somebody about the team?

I am interested in the SEAL program at KP, but what do they do? How do they train? Any info would help.

And last of all. What condition should i be in for plebe summer. How many miles should i be able to run, mile time, pushups, situps? what should i expect?

You should receive a packet in the mail shortly that will answer most of your questions.
Your class reports for “indoc” on July 9th. The packet will include a training program to help prepare you physically. Rugby is a club sport, you will have plenty of time to find out about it after indoctrination. Ditto for sailing and S.E.A.Ls ,Marine ops, Army ops, Navy ops etc. etc. The packet you receive will be lengthy and detailed, read it carefully there is a lot of paperwork that has to be submitted. Mostly, take the next few weeks to …relax. Life is about to become very hectic for you. Enjoy this short summer break, it could well be the last one you ever have. Our mid has NEVER been home for summer and he will be in the 1st class (senior) next year. In fact, it’s been almost a year since we’ve seen him. Do the fitness training that they recommend. Don’t do anything that could get you injured and/or change your medical status and get your wisdom teeth taken out…now! Good luck, congratulations and welcome aboard the roller coaster.
