KU transfer-question and situation provided.

Hello, I am inquiring about spring semester being acknowledged during admissions. First, a little background about myself: I have a GED (90th percentile if it matters) and last spring I started taking classes part time at a CC while working; however I only have 16 credit hours with a 2.9 GPA. To further dampen my application, I have 3 withdraws (scheduling conflict). This semester my mom has supported me and afforded me the opportunity to attend school full time, making it possible for me to take 15 hours. I will most likely end this semester with all A's, but the deadline for transfers to KU (Kansas) is May 1st.

I will be submitting my application after April 1st as a transfer "with less than 24 credits", along with my SAT( first time taking it and I believe I will get 1200+/1600). My research concludes that a decision will be made before my grades from this semester will be released; moreover, rendering my GPA boost useless. Does anyone believe I have a shot of acceptance, or even a small chance of having admissions reconsider my application mid May; therefore, displaying a solid amount of credits with 3.5ish GPA? KU admissions do not accept LOR's, or essays. That makes it impossible for me to explain my unique situation and as it stands the only thing for them to consider is my pre 24 credits gpa, GED, and SAT. My brother is a Senior at KU if you think they consider sibling "legacy" at all.

Thank you,
Eric

You wouldn’t be a transfer with less than 24 credits… you’d have 31
