I wanted to take some jc courses over the summer to knock out some breadth requirements. I was wondering if it was possible to knock two birds (or more) with one stone? For example, at my local jc, modern humanities is transferable and satisfies three of the 7-course breadth requirements (i.e. arts & lit, historical studies, and philosophy & values).

bump :(...

1 course will only satisfy 1 breadth even at your JC. So that modern humanities class can satisfy 1 of either arts & lit, or historical studies, or philosophy & values. The particular breadth it satisfies is your choice.

Now...is that just for JC courses? Or is this policy the same for Cal courses too?

Cal courses too. The only class at Cal that will fulfill two requirements is L&S R44, which fulfills one-half of the R&C requirement and one breadth.

But that's only because it's R&C and Breadth. No class will satisfy more than 1 Breadth requirement -- if it says it can in the course description, it means it can satisfy any ONE of those.

Man, if you could satisfy more than one requirement with a single course...

I can see a JC offering a course like "The Internation Study of Historical Biochemistry & Physics from the perspective of Philosophy and Psychology in a Religious context"

thanks everyone! haha ^ if only.
