Are ESPM 50AC and German R5B really as easy as people say they are? What makes them easier than other classes (fewer essays, easier exams, etc.)? Also, can anyone recommend any classes that fulfill either international studies or the art/lit breadth req? I want to be able to focus on my science classes and am looking for a course that is not too time consuming. Any help would be appreciated!

Easier grading standards, lighter workload, interesting discussions, and they knock off obligations like AC or R&C, which are not central to your intended major, with the least hassle. They fill QUICKLY as a result. Actually, for R&C classes, most of the ‘language major’ oriented ones are decent and help you sustain a high GPA - they are all done in English but aren’t hard core about grammar and other technical issues. Unfortunately, the English and Rhetoric versions are more work and more stringent.
