L&S C70U - Intro To Astronomy

Im planning to take this course for my first semester to fulfill my physical science breadth.
I heard that it involves quite a bit of physics which im very uncertain about since im not too skilled in that area.

Has anyone taken this course in the past or heard anything about it?

Is it really that physics-based?!

It is the same course as Astronomy C10 - Alex Filippenko’s outstanding class. One of the best professors to teach a class.

No, it does not require physics, calculus or much beyond simple algebra. It is a conceptual course, a grand tour of everything in astronomy. Anytime you need a physics concept, he introduces it in a clear way, just enough detail to illustrate what he is talking about. Zero background needed.

okay thank you so much for that!
i was getting a little worried but now im so excited for that course! :)
