L&S Computer Science transfer is no longer allowed

As of last year, students can apply and enroll L&S without a major. If they can achieve 3.3 GPA on 3 CS related courses, they are admitted to L&S computer science department.

I heard starting from 2016, students who want to major in L&S Computer Science has to select that major when applying. It is on longer possible to be addmitted CS automatically just because of the 3.3 GAP. So the L&S CS is as competitive as the EECS. Is that true?

I heard L&S freshman are all “undeclared” EXCEPT “CS major”. That means if want to be the “CS major”, you have to declare that in application…

It doesn’t say that on their website, so unless you have a verifiable source @golftlist , it’s not true.
