I see so nothing can be found out from housing.

hey, sorry for the confusion.
I did not mean to say that i can access to the housing et all.
What i meant to say is that we now have the options of clicking on View My Housing , View bruin card account. This would be accessible if we hadnt been admitted, or close to being admitted.

hey loop i’m able to do all that. yet no update on my FA. what gives?!

intership as government auditor

ect.

hey were you tap certified for bus econ?

no I am not tap, it is not offered at my school

that’s a bit reassuring… well congrats on your admission!!!

i don’t mean to post twice in a row. but you didn’t have honors program either?

UCLA TAP = Honor’s / Scholar’s program at various CCCs.

so there is still hope for us non-tappers!

It sounds absurd, but my school has neither honors nor tap. I go to Santa Rosa Junior College. It is a great school, way nicer than most other community colleges around, but for some reason it lacks these sorts of programs. I am really jealous of you guys in tap. That really would have helped out my application. Too bad, though. Good luck to you all. Especially econ majors and math majors!

weezy baby I have no TAP and I could see my finaid summary.

Nijikon, congrats I just received your message. I got a question: what is the difference between myfao or financial award summary? I could just see my fin aid summary what about you?

what’s your major though? TAP is a make or break kind of thing with really competitive majors. in my case, econ major.

my major is global studies, and although it is new it has gotten very competitive although econ is much more. I wish you all the luck, and let’s hope for the best. what is your GPA weezy baby and are all your prereqs done and IGETC?

yuppers.

3.8
All A’s in my pre-reqs
IGETC one more class to finish in the summer (hope that doesn’t hurt me)

in the summer weEzy baby? I hope they can let you slide. I ve heard many negative things about rejecting people wanting to take an IGETC summer class, sure hope this is not your case. The bottom line is this: Even though you can’t see the finaid summary, I hope you get in and can see it next week. Also for all of us who have seen it, well we are in a very good position and mostly means acceptance. For those of you who are wondering why so many are seeing it, well so be it and let’s all wait for the best to those who can’t see it yet.

Really? i’ve heard the exact opposite. i hear that the major requirements are the ones they want done by spring time. Do you mind posting a thread where finishing up your igetc during the summer will get you rejected?

i don’t think you have to be IGETC to transfer - but you must complete IGETC classes by the Spring in order to be IGETC certified. otherwise you have to complete the specific ‘core’ requirements set by the school. which might mean taken extra classes that an IGETC cert would have waived

I would talk to your conseling department, cause if you are planning on taken an IGETC class in the summer, you may have just wasted your time trying to get certified (your school has to certify you after you complete the courses and i think that only happens in the Fall/Winter/Spring terms…

From the University of California official website:

Certification:
Only California community colleges may certify completion of IGETC. Certification of IGETC completion is the responsibility of the last California community college a student attends prior to transfer (with the exception of summer session)—although upon request, a college other than the last one attended may also certify.

weezy baby, just past friends of mine got rejected by just missing 1 IGETC class. I really hope you get accepted though, if you got A’s in all your prereqs, and finished them you should get in.
