i have to make a decision between la salle university (where i got a full scholarship) and st.joseph's university (where i got a $17,000 a year scholarship)...right now, i like st.joe's better but i know that going to la salle would save my parents a whole lot of money and i know that they are favoring la salle for that reason...i don't want to regret my decision! does anybody have any advice or know anything about either of these two schools? anything would be helpful!! thanks!!!

i dont think you'll regret going to either one of those schools. i absolutely loved st. josephs too but i have heard great things about la salle. i would spend the night at both and then choose from which u like better, but if your parents want you to go to la salle bc of the money, it isnt like you are settling at all because it really is a good school. i have a friend who plays soccer there and he adores it!

I think reputation-wise the schools are close (but I'd give the slight edge to St. Joe's) but not so much imo to justify a large price difference. Both have nice campuses...LaSalle's is beautiful but you have to be careful. A couple blocks away is pretty dangerous. Still I know lots of kids at both, most seem very happy.

Go with LaSalle. Although it may not be as “reputable” as St. Joes, it has solid programs and is a well respected institution in the region. I feel that LaSalle is often undermined because of its less “well known” status. Please don’t let that illusion sway you.If your parents are footing this bill, you’d be an idiot to give up a full ride. LaSalle has a beautiful campus with easy access to the city, involved professors, and a close knit community. Its size, along with its reputation, is on the rise. Personally, if I got a full ride anywhere, I’d take it. Its just a financially smart move to get a 150k+ degree for nothing. St Joes really isn’t all that much better than Lasalle. GO WITH LASALLE.
