LA Unifieds--Anyone heard?

I was waitlisted!

chocolettunder how and when were you notified that you were waitlisted? And congrats, too!!!

Also, wondering if anyone that made the final call back on campus received a rejection notice.

My D received a letter dated March 11 that said she is “a first alternate for the BFA in Musical Theater”. It goes on to say that if the First Alternate declines they will go to the Wait List. Hope this is helpful info!

So there’s a wait list for a waitlist? What? Bahahaha ooookay, Pace.

It seems like there are 3 categories of people: 1) the accepted; 2) the “alternates;” and 3) the waitlist. It appears that the alternates are replacements for the accepted if they don’t accept. The WL people will be tapped if both the accepted and the alternate say no. It would be nice if the school would explain this, but … it sounds like this is what is happening this year.

it’s at least comforting to know that some others are also still waiting to hear anything!

Has any received a letter of rejection?

I was just going to ask that. Maybe this weekend?

Rejection, acceptance, waitlist, first alternate…whatever. Please Pace just say something.

Same here. Waiting for the mailman is getting old. Pace students went out today for easter break, I assume administration did too. Hope the put the letters in the mail before they left. LOL

D waiting as well.

Hmmm maybe they did exactly that, sent out the letters and ran away so they didn’t have to deal with the angst or any more phone calls from frantic students and parents in appeal of the decisions. Whoever hears anything or hears that someone heard something, please post good bad or indifferent. We all need to be able to move on for better or worse.

Nope. I think people who were chosen as first alternates already heard. But have not heard anything about a waitlist. Maybe we will hear next week.

D finally received letter of rejection today. This was a hard one, since it was in her top 5. But, she was glad to have made it as far as she did in their audition process.

D received letter of rejection today. It is hard, but she can move on.
She still has one more to hear from and she will be able to finally know where she is going to go.

Just wanted to type a note of encouragement to those who are still waiting. My S had a great audition for Pace at LA Unifieds, but we never received a call, never received a letter regarding an alternate position, and were pretty much certain that he didn’t get in. To our surprise, a letter from Pace came late this afternoon letting us know that he has been accepted to 2 of their programs, of which he has to choose. BA Acting and BA Theatre Studies (which they say is a “placeholder” for the BFA TV, Film Acting program).
Once I saw that calls began going out a few weeks back, each day that passed made us feel less hopeful than the day before.
To all of you who are still waiting, please know that Pace does not necessarily call you early in the month if you have been accepted. My son found out through a letter on March 25th!

tapdancer1- That is so interesting! Did your son sign up for any of those programs? Or did he strictly have an MT audition?

Hi Alli1drind!
He submitted a video audition for 3 programs…BFA Musical Theatre, BFA Acting and BA Acting. While he was at the in person audition in LA, they asked if he would also be interested in auditioning for their new TV/Film Acting program, so he was seen for all 4 programs while in LA.

Three people I know were also just accepted to BA Acting. I’m pretty sure they only call the BFA’s. BA’s find out by letter and those are going out now.

Do you if people who auditioned for the BFA MT program are getting admitted into the BA program? At this point I’m expecting rejection but getting into something would be nice hahaha.
