Would anyone who has been in prior years give me information on the logistics? i.e. Do the colleges all have their own room where they audition? Do they just have a suite of rooms or does the hotel have that many meeting rooms for conferences? How about the dance calls? We are trying to figure out how much time to allow to get from one spot to another. We have never been to any of the Unifieds before so no idea of the set up. We are staying at the hotel were the Unifieds are being held at. Also can we assume the schools stick to the schedule or by mid morning are they all at least 30 minutes behind in both audition and dance calls? Thanks.
We attended LA Unifieds two years ago. But for Theatre only…we did have a friend who was an MT kid who did dance calls for some of the schools. They have rooms in the hotels where they hold auditions and schools like Emerson who held dance auditions they were in a separate room from the interviews and monologues. The schedules stayed true what they told us. There will be a map telling you where the schools are and what rooms they are in.
Thank you. The schools assured us that she could meet her schedule but I tend to worry. She has 30 minutes from the start of one audition (they say 10 minutes for audition) to having to be ready for a dance audition. That is the one that worries me. I think I will contact the dance audition school and explain and see if she has any wiggle room in terms of dance audition time just in case things run late.
