Lab Internships

I'm a sophmore in high school and i'm e-mailing college professors that are currently working on a research project (Psychology: Cognition, Perception etc or Neuroscience) and trying to obtain an internship in their lab during this summer. It has really become an endless search with countless "sorry we are not accepting high school students at this time", "check back before the summer", or no response at all.

I was wondering if anyone on the board can direct me towards any professors that they have previously worked with on a research project, or has accepted high school students, or anyone that I could contact. I was hoping to work on a project that I could eventually enter into the Intel Science Talent Search during my senior year.

--May

Also - arre some profs willing to accept out-of-state students?

Pretty petals, have you tried looking at private labs and seeing if they have any programs for high schoolers? Look up Amgen.

Have you just been randomly emailing profs w/o reading about their research and such?

Try doing a search through CC for research if you haven't already.

I'm trying to get a lab internship at Emory or Morehouse...either that or working at Kroger...lol
